On Nov 7th 2017, CCIBD co-hosted a "One Belt One Road Conference" at Ryerson University. Officials, scholars and think-tankers gathered at in Toronto to discuss the Belt and Road Initiative and to review its accomplishments.

The Canada China Business Council (CCBC) has announced the appointment of its new President, Graham Shantz. Mr. Shantz has over 25 years’ experience in Canada’s public service, much of which was focused on managing Canada’s relations with Asia. He has worked in senior management positions in Global Affairs Canada, the Department of Finance, and the Privy Council Office, including as Canada’s lead negotiator for Foreign Investment Protection Agreements.
